Sarah delights in exploring the outdoors (hiking, biking, snowshoeing, skiing, gardening), writing and reading in front of the fire, photographing landscapes and wildlife, dancing, and spending time with friends and family. She and Chris, her husband, have lived in Boyne City since 2014, were married at Boyne Mountain in 2010, and served together on the volunteer Boyne Mountain National Ski Patrol for over 15 years before both retiring in 2022. They wholeheartedly experience each of Michigan’s four seasons!
Sarah is passionate about cultivating life-giving, compassionate, and vibrant congregations and communities and equipping, encouraging, and energizing leaders who engage with and respond to the local community as they step out in faith to make disciples of Jesus in innovative ways through loving God, neighbor, and self deeply.
Sarah received her Master of Sacred Theology from Yale Divinity School and Yale Institute of Sacred Music, Master of Divinity from Duke University Divinity School, Bachelor of Science in Architecture from University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and completed an ACTP, Professional Coach Training Program, through Coaching4Clergy.
Sarah hopes to never stop learning…especially about Jesus and what it means to be and make disciples of Christ and lead in this time and place! Shalom.
